One of the island’s earliest ports, Port of Los Cristianos is the main port of departure for ferries. All heading towards the Islands of El Hierro, La Palma and the famous Island of La Gomera. The beach promenade of Los Cristianos has a great selection of local bars, fish restaurants and cafeterias with terraces offering views of the sea and port.
Two main beaches around this port are the beach of Los Cristianos and the big beach of Las Vistas located in front of San Telmo. Which is also known for its bars, restaurants, and terraces.
Being such a small port for leisure activities, the sustainable whale watching companies there are of the smaller and more familiar comfortable kind. Offering trips to the cliffs of Los Cristianos, which are not as big as the ones of Los Gigantes. Its water and coves are filled with dolphins and turtles. Most of these boats offer small excursions that last from 2 to 3 hours. Some even offering swimming stops and sailing all the way to Palm-Mar.
