Port Of Puerto Colon: A marina in the south of Tenerife

The port of Puerto Colon, in Playa de Las Americas, is one of the most important leisure ports in the Canary Islands. It is a key destination for those navigators who wish to rest in one of the most tourist and sunny areas of Tenerife. Surrounded by many local beaches, bars, and restaurants. The area of Puerto Colon is considered a local hot spot to hang out.

This port is one of the major departure points for many companies that offer whale watching trips. Being located in the heart of South Tenerife's Tourism industry it is one of the favorite departure ports. Located near most of the southern island hotels. Important to point out the advantage of some whale watching companies offering transport from hotels or selected pick up points. It makes it one of the most comfortable ports to choose your excursion due to location and facilities. 

There are many beaches also located near Puerto Colon like Costa Adeje Beach, Fañabe Beach, Troya Beach and Duque Beach. These are the main beaches for the island visitors to lay in and soak up the sun, many also offering watersport activities such as paddleboards, pedalos, snorkeling, parasailing and jet ski.

This port has 355 moorings that allow a maximum of 20 meters in length and a draft of six meters at low tide. Among the services available to its customers are showers, crane, boathouse, surveillance throughout the day and cafeteria. In the marina itself there are sailing and diving schools that offer initiation classes and enjoy these sports. These of which add to the wide range of leisure activities on the mainland.
